I sing that every day...I wonder what that tells you!
So at 11:07am my mood has shifted slightly since I wrote that last blog. The thing that gets me out of a funk is planning a trip. So I’m planning a long term Australia/New Zealand/Far East/Asia trip, don't know for when exactly but sometime in 2010.
When you fly to Oz you may as well take advantage of the close proximity and travel all around. So whether it takes me 6, 8 or 12 weeks the following are on my list of places to go to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, New Zealand, Laos, Cambodia, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Borneo, Bali, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam. I don’t think I’m ready for India yet to be honest. One day, I will go just to say I’ve gone, but it’s not one of the places I have to visit just yet. Great now, I’m craving some Indian food!
A return to Australia costs about £499 return from London and all of the internal flights zipping from here there and everywhere won’t be that much. Trust me after the morning I’ve had, planning ‘a getaway’ seems VERY fitting to say the least.
Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm like you too, India is not on my next 100 places to visit but i know i will eventually end up there one day lol.
ReplyDeleteI get a kick out of mentally planning for my next trip too so have fun planning cos it makes the day go by quick.
Saw your last post, at least the travel plans got you out of that. India is high on my list but sure The Down under is there too.
ReplyDelete*Clapping* Oz has some wonderful things to see. Sydney is kind of like our New York. Busy, over the top and generally where those who want the fast life go. Melbourne I think epitomizes Australian culture and life. Its laid back, not too fast but still has the city slickness to it. The cafe and food culture is AMAZING. You can find food from anywhere in the world in the city. Very multi-cultural compared to a lot of other places in Oz. Going outside the city look up Great Ocean road, 12 apostles, Daylesford AND the beaches are definitely the place to be as well. By the way have a look at what Brisbane has to offer...less well known but has lovely places like Port Douglas, Whitsundays!
ReplyDeleteObviously look me up when you get here!
