Thai'm Ready!

This will be the first trip since I was a child where I'm actually going to get some sleep before I go. A little less than 5 hours, but sleep is sleep.

My bags are packed, and light as a feather I may add, and I'm just R-E-A-D-Y. I booked my last hotel this evening [a last night stay in Bangkok after Malaysia before heading back to London] and I'm just about ready to call it a day. The bubble bath is running and I'm getting ready to start reading my [been on the shelf for too long] E. Lynn Harris book 'Not A Day Goes By.' Thanks MzInspiredMind81. [In Purple just for you.]

I'm nervous, yet excited. I've travelled by myself before to Dallas 2 years ago, but this is the furthest I've been by myself for close to a 2 week period. The weather at the moment looks crap. It's rainy season so rain and thunderstorms galore, but still hot n humid in the 80-90 degree range. It doesn't matter though as I'm going to make the most of it, and come rain or shine take in as much as Thailand and Malaysia as humanly possible. Plus I'm being a real diva and staying at the fancy places like the Le Fenix, The Langham and The Ritz Carlton so that's an added bonus having a plush hotel to come back to after a day of just getting dirty like a backpacker.

I'll be blogging as I go. Internet cafés are rife in Southeast Asia so I won't have a problem getting access to the www. Plus as well as any pictures I take, it'll be the first where I'll be able to savour the memories of the who's, what's, where's, when's and how's of this trip right here.

So it's off to Bangkok, then Koh Lanta an island off the coast of Krabi, then Malaysia, back to Bangkok, then home to London via Bahrain.

S-H-I-T, I hope I don't oversleep. I'm setting 4 alarms!!
