Reading a blog or two in the morning is the equivalent of most folks needing a hit of coffee to get themselves ready before they can start their day either at work or home.
Reading the blogs of others every morning is like my online coffee shot and you know what happens when you get a hit of the caffeine, you're up for ages. And in this case I'm online way more than I am working. It's not a boredom factor in this job because I've been an online addict at every job I've had. How I've managed this feat for 11 years I do not know. I think I have been pulled up at one job for my online antics for just being online instead of working, but after a time you learn to sneak on and stay on unbeknown to others. I have this down pat now with my secret addiction. Although it doesn't make it right.
I've read one blog post and can now feel myself reneging on the promise that this week I'm going to remain focused, as all I want to do is read blogs, surf online or write blog posts my damn self or send personal e-mails.
And then what happens is if I make it through from 9 am till 3 pm, I'll use the going online excuse as a reward for staying offline for most of the day.
I need to find an online survey and see just how addicted I actually am to anything Internet related.
Of course I'll post the results just to show you all how pitiful I am.
