I Don't Think I Want To Go Back To Work

I've been trying to get out of the 9-5 rat race for years. Now I've been forced out [a decision which I was totally fine and comfortable with], the desire to go back is very low. VERY low. I would rather work for myself bringing in less money, than working for 'The Man' bringing in a nice salary. I really would. Been doing the Investment Banking/Asset Management 'thing' since I was 18 and now 29 going on 30 I've had enough. I actually had enough at 23 when I was this close to a nervous breakdown. I am TOO BLACK to be working for anybody. And black folks YOU KNOW what I mean by that 'TOO BLACK' statement right there.

Well I believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason. So let me have a lil one on one talk with God and see if I can make sense of what he has in store for me.

I do currently have a few things 'on the go' at the moment, but being the person that I NOW am, won't do much or any talking till I'm doing what I need to be doing.

  1. Amen to that. I had the same epiphany last year. I was lead to the industry that I now work in (Virtual Assistance), by God. My goal was to be full time in my business by Jan 2010 and God brought it forward a year, when I was made redundant in Jan 2009. Was I happy at being made redundant - hell yeah!!

Hope it all goes well for you. I'm rooting for you :)
