Life Really Is Too Short

It's been the worst day of 2010 so far. I got the tragic news this evening that one of my closest and dearest friends lost her husband today. Words right now cannot even express what I feel for her at the moment. In the last 5 hours I've lost count of the number of phone calls made and received, everyone is rallying together to get a flight out to the US to support her next week or whenever the time comes to lay him to rest.

Seriously I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful man her husband was. I miss him already.

I'm going to be off here for a while probably until after I get back from Texas. My mind is not right and even writing this doesn't even seem to make sense at the moment.

I can't get in contact with my other half to speak to him right now, and now more than ever every minute that goes by that I don't literally hurts. I can't even begin to imagine what she's going through.

So please if you can do two things because I don't feel I have the strength to right now is pray for her and his family and whoever you love, please tell them that you love them.

Till whenever x

  4. 2Corinthians 1:3-5
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
Praying for you, your friend and her husband's family.

  5. Heartfelt post.

Places and keeps that which is closest to one's heart in clear perspective.

    Silent prayer goes out.
