The third and final Transformers movie [starring Shia LeBeouf and directed by Michael Bay] opens in the US and UK on July 1st. The TV spots in the UK are advertising a June 29th advanced screening, but there are some cinema chains across the country showing Transformers from today [June 28th]. Check your local cinema for listings.

This may be the third Transformers installment but it may not be the last. Toy giants Hasbro have stated that there WILL be other Transformers movies in the making, but Shia LeBeouf has already confirmed that he will NOT be starring any of them. Michael Bay did state at one point that if the fans keep seeing them [the films] then he will continue to direct them. Word on the street is that Bay has no plans to direct a fourth film, but what is to be believed from Bay, who said he wouldn't do another Transformers film straight away after the second one and did just that. If Bay doesn't say yes to Transformers 4, Steve Spielberg who is Executive Producer on the franchise may direct it, but it's all hearsay at this point with no real definite confirmations. Only time will tell according to the box office figures and I have a feeling that by the end of 2011 there will some update as to what will be happening with regards to the next movie.

Without Shia and Michael I do NOT see Transformers 4 working. I just don't. As a HUGE fan of the franchise I'd love for there to be another movie, but with there being approximately two years apart in the release of each of these films I'm assuming the work to get it written, filmed, edited, produced are monstrous efforts for all of those involved.

Check out Movie Web who according to them say that Tyrese Gibson is one of their favourite actors **major side-eye with a splash of major lies being told**, speaking on his excitement about a possible fourth film.

"If Michael Bay decides to come back for Transfomers 4, I'll be there. We'll make it happen. (Right now), I think we are all exhausted with the process. If this movie does what we are all assuming it's going to do, then, I think its time to revisit this conversation. When it's time. There are no concepts, no direction, no nothing for Transfomers 4, because everyone has been so focused on Transformers: Dark of the Moon. But here is the safety net.
