Written by Mariah and inspired by the passing of her late friend and musical icon Whitney Houston, many have said this lead track from Mariah's untitled album coming in 2013 should be Rick Ross and Meek Mill featuring Mariah and not the other way around.

Super 8 is brought to you by Steven Spielberg and JJ Abrams (LOST & Cloverfield) Released in the US back in June, it opened today nationwide in the UK.

I've heard good things about the film, seen numerous trailers, but still, I am not really feeling particularly 'excited' about this just yet.

If you don't like sequels, don't watch them it's very simple to avoid. 

See what happens is when others are leaving their homes to go and watch a film, you don't go with them. 

You avoid trawling the Internet to find a decent copy of the film online and don't download it. 

You don't click on links talking about Final Destination 5 and you sure as hell do NOT watch the trailer. 

What A Bloody Waste Of A Month!

I can and will only blame procrastination so much for not accomplishing so many things that I needed and wanted to do in this month of July.

I can always admit when I'm wrong, lazy and just not in the mood for people, places and things. It's not a sign of weakness and will never see it as that. It's the people who pretend everything is great, happy and perfect that you need to watch out for. Believe me.

A 'hair inspiration/idol' may mean one of two things or even both to some people:

• A person whose hair you just wish to have and constantly swoon over.
• A person who has a similar hair type to yours and are actively pursing your goal to getting your hair to their length.

I don't wish to have my hair inspiration's' hair 'type' at all, their length is my first goal, which  if I actively keep going the way that I am now with my regimen, then 'Diana' (my hair, named after the diva Ms Ross, paying homage to her long & bushy wigs) could be there in the next 12 months or less.

The title of this blog today is pretty self explanatory. Yes...all things, viewpoints, opinions, quotes etc, created by yours truly over the past few years that I've posted on my Facebook wall and Tumblr account, that I chose to share with you. 

If you've seen anything similar elsewhere, it's a MAJOR coincidence. Anything I know to be a quote is quoted with the persons name, or I quote it as 'unknown' if I don't know. Unlike others, it's not a big deal for me to take credit for a quote I bloody well know isn't mine. It just isn't.

I'm supposed to be involved in a 30 day blogging challenge, and totally failed yesterday as I forgot to post. My mind was on so many different things I just looked at my computer like "really now? I beg you just f*** off. Not in the mood for you" I got back home going on 2am and realised I've FAILED!

OK maybe FAILED is a bit dramatic, but I intend to continue and do what needs to be done to complete this challenge, because I can.

As much as I understand it can be a struggle to lose weight, I'm about bloody sick and tired of hearing about it, and seeing it captioned on every magazine cover you feature on. We get it Jennifer, we really do. You had a baby, you lost weight, you feel great. When is your next single released please? 

The weight loss is talked about so much I cannot even remember the title of your latest album, and THAT my dear is a problem.  It seems that every story whether in the newspaper, magazine or on blogs is referencing your weight loss.

Not a new video from the MC archives, but this is probably VERY unknown and about three years old.

In between Glitter and Precious Mariah has starred in two indie movies, Wisegirls and Tennessee. The latter is a film by Lee Daniels who also cast Mariah in Precious, a role originally meant for Academy Award winning actress Helen Mirren.

I watched Tennessee for the first time yesterday and was happy to see Mariah in a respectable role which redeemed herself since the Glitter days. Unless you're in the indie film 'know' or a Mariah fan (like myself) then films like Wisegirls (where the acting slightly improved) or Tennessee which you may have never heard of.

I heard this song today, which became my inspiration for today's Blast from the Past' post. Such an incredible song that I really felt it wouldn't be right to just post one version of the song by either The Jackson 5 or Mariah Carey so included both, as well as the infamous 1992 Pepsi commercial featuring Michael Jackson. [One of my favourite Pepsi commercials of ALL time]. If you haven't seen it, after watching it you may see why I said that. No frills, no fuss, just simple. Short and sweet, yet magical as only Michael could.

Some couples already have welcome additions to their family, Tia Mowry has (a son, Cree), Mariah Carey has twins (a son, Moroccan Scott and a daughter, Monroe), Nicole Richie has (a daughter, Harlow and a son, Sparrow), Jada Pinkett Smith has (a son, Jaden and a daughter, Willow), Gwen Stefani (has two sons Kingston and Zuma), Lala Vazquez has (a son Kiyan) and Alyssa Milano has a son on the way, due in September.

In this wedding photograph Jada Pinkett-Smith was expecting actor son Jaden Smith. Jaden celebrated his 13th birthday this past weekend. Great to see this couple still going strong.

Mariah & Usher Jet Into the UK for a Hush Hush Event

New mother to twins Moroccan Scott and Monroe Cannon, Mariah made an unannounced flying visit to the UK for a very private social gathering.

Mariah was looking fabulous just two months since giving birth to the twins. There is no word if the twins accompanied Mariah or were left back in the US with daddy Nick Cannon or family members. 

Mariah has stated she isn't into the 'nanny' thing but did have a baby nurse during the last stage of her pregnancy and I'm assuming shortly after the twins were born.

• Nandos - This deserves the top spot! I grew up in a West Indian (Jamaican) household so I know what good, tasty, well seasoned food tastes like to the point that I'm not about to pay for what my mama can do better, and for FREE! I have had Nandos in the past and it's definitely something I CAN and DO live without. The amount of people who live in these establishments like a second home is a 'head tilt' moment for me. With the thousands of restaurants in London, the invention of a Tastecard and Toptable and people keep returning here? Don't ever invite me to Nandos I will honestly tell you I cannot make it as I despise this chain.
• Fashion/beauty magazines - I used to be a magazine hoarder. You think absolutely nothing of buying a few magazines a month, but when you have to get rid of two years worth at a time to make room for the new ones you realise you have a problem and don't even want to think about how much you've spent on them over the years. I don't buy magazines AT ALL anymore. For me it's a waste of space and money. The only magazine that enters this house is the free one from ASOS, and after I'm done with it, it goes straight into the recycling bin. Tired of seeing hair clips start at £3,550 and gowns listed without a price because it costs way too much in these pretentious magazines where you need to 'call the stockist'. I don't need to pay £3.99 for someone to tell me where to eat, shop, buy a new leather bound diary or any of that s***. It may serve a purpose for some women but having them didn't make me any more of a better woman than it does now for not having them.

Northern lass, ex Spice Girl, wife to a con man and new Australia X-Factor judge Melanie Brown aka Mel B aka Scary Spice is soon to give birth to her third child. Last night she tweeted to her 'fans' a picture of her movie producer husband Stephen Belafonte (NOT his real last name) saying "My humps my bumps will not allow me to fasten my own shoes,so this is how I do them!!!" Stephen was helping his cash cow wife tie her Christian Louboutin shoes or 'Red Bottoms' if you're ghetto with ZERO class!

I'm no fan of Mel B, but for someone very much into her third trimester she is looking great, and obviously determined to remain a yummy mummy by any means necessary. Good on her!

• Repeat episodes of Friends - it never gets old and I still laugh...yes I do!
• Maxi dresses - sorry to the heffers who can't pull these dresses off, but I'm tall and slim and I can!
• Reality TV - it has no bearing on my intellect. It's just a genre of TV that I enjoy. I am perfectly capable of digesting information and holding conversations. I can also spell very well and know the difference between, there, their and they're. Guess what?? I watch documentaries too! **GASP** Who would think an avid reality TV watcher could do all of those things?
• Rice Milk - it's bloody delicious, but maybe an acquired taste to some.
• Anything BlackBerry - some of you iPhone fans really need to get over this technology 'war'.
