I've been registered for a few years now. A site dedicated to giving you all the news on all of your favourite TV Shows on DVD already released and soon to be released. A huge following on this site can even prompt the big wigs to hurry up a release that the fans feel worthy of a release. You won't need another site to tell you when your fave TV show is coming to an Amazon near you, for even when the DVD cover sleeve art is released if you are signed up for bulletins for that show then it will tell you all about that too and any possible delays to release, if any.

The best bit for me is the wish list type function it has so you can list all of the DVDs you want and all of the ones you currently own [I currently have 93 TV show boxsets]. A quick link will take you to Amazon [USA] to purchase, or just knowing the release date you can head toward your favourite site like Amazon [UK] or Play.

Definitely one to bookmark if you're a DVD fanatic like myself.

The Girls Have Arrived! But We Won't Party Till Saturday!

The only white BFF's that I have in my social circle arrived today to my surprise. Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda were on my doorstep at 7:30pm this evening. And boy oh boy Carrie's big hair on the extended cut DVD looks fabulous. I also got season 6, so that completes the SATC collection for me.



YES YES YES!!! Hey if men can have sports we can have this. It's justified! Will there ever be another show to grace our screens in my lifetime that surpasses SATC? I highly doubt it so I cannot wait until Saturday to take it all in and finally see the movie, as I promised Mrs H I'd see it with her, but we never got around to it. Tomorrow night is out at the bar for Miss D's 30th birthday soiree, and if that wasn't on the cards then I would have done a double bill at the movies seeing Death Race and Righteous Kill. Doing my hair on Saturday, [and for black women this is an event within itself] so that's me and the girls time on DVD and Sunday is London Fashion Weekend, then I'll fit the movies in after that. I've got a busy weekend....for once!!!

Children of Men

I'm so glad I never went to the cinema to watch this. I'm even more frustrated that 109 minutes of my life are gone that I'm never going to get back. This is the first film that started out bad, had a bad middle and an even worse ending (the credits were the best part), that I actually sat through, and vowed to put on eBay to the highest bidder. Whether drunk, tipsy or sober, this film isn't that great, I'd be hard pressed to find somebody who actually enjoyed this thoroughly and give me a VALID reason as to why it was so good. It wasn't. I was actually looking forward to adding this to my collection, but it seems to be another one of those movies that was way over-hyped. It's not even a wait for DVD or cable movie, just avoid it, it's bad.

Oh and I used to like Julianne Moore, but she pissed me off real bad with this crap. I guess she figured it was a bad movie too and took the role for the paycheck and to die less than halfway through, so she wouldn't be 100% associated or responsible for it's turnout or lack of. Like I said the best bits are the credits at the end.
