Black Women Ain’t Shit!!

So what else is new folks?

Some rapper who is only famous in the Houston area and for dating an ex-Destiny’s Child member who we care less about than Kelly Rowland, doesn’t want us. He’s ignorant when it comes to black women and speaks of his foolish reasons as to why we’re single.

Here we go again!

The Bullshit Gospel According To Slim Thug:

-”Most single Black women feel like they don’t want to settle for less. Their standards are too high right now. They have to understand that successful Black men are kind of extinct. We’re important. It’s hard to find us so Black women have to bow down and let it be known that they gotta start working hard; they gotta start cooking and being down for they man more. They can’t just be running around with their head up in the air and passing all of us.”

-”I have a brother that dates a White woman and he always be fucking with me about it saying, “Y’all gotta go through all that shit [but] my White woman is fine. She don’t give me no problems, she do whatever I say and y’all gotta do all that arguing and fighting and worry about all this other shit.”

-”My girl is Black and White. I guess the half White in her is where she still cooks and do all the shit that I say, so we make it. She just takes care of me and I like that. She don’t be begging and I don’t gotta buy her all this crazy ass shit. And she’s a smart girl too. She graduated from Columbia [University] and I like that about her so it’s cool. I’ve dated girls that will buy a $3,000 bag and don’t know how to pay it off on their credit cards. They walk around in these Louis Vuittons and red bottoms but they’re riding around in raggedy cars, so it’s just getting your priorities right.”

-”White women treat they man like a king and Black women feel like they ain’t gotta do that shit. Black women need to stand by their man more. Don’t always put the pressure of if I’m fucking with you, you gotta buy me this and that. Black men are the ones that motherfuckers need [but] I think a lot of them need to step it up too. A Black man who gets a little bread will go make it rain in the club and be broke the next day or instead of him going to invest in a business he gonna go buy new jewelry or a new car and still live in the hood. Black peoples’ mentality is real fucked up in general [and] it’s affecting everything.”

- “Black women need to be more genuine and be more 50/50 [but] It should be a fair exchange in a relationship period or eventually somebody is gonna feel like they’re getting fucked over whether it’s the woman or the man. I think that will help Black relationships out a lot.”

Black women are to blame for the oil crisis, global warming, 9/11, why Bush served two terms in office, my train being delayed this morning, why a lot of black men are in prison and one Black woman in particular is to blame for giving birth to an ingrate aka Slim Thug. Yes folks, I’m sure Slim Thugs places the blame on her too for his very reason on being here on this earth and our mothers too for birthing and raising us non-entities.

I read a tweet from @delightfuldiva that I read this morning which said "Slim. Thug. 2 things I never wanted in a man. #movingon" Good one! The last time I checked Slim Thug was single. He isn’t married so whatever he claims to have is not keeping women interested, and whatever woman he’s gushing about can’t be all that great either because he’s using her as a dishwasher, a potential baby maker and not making her anything else. So ladies please don’t trip over this fool. He isn’t anything we want or aspire to want in our rich and prosperous lives. Slim Thug’s Black & White [as he puts it] girlfriend is quiet, cooks, cleans and does all the shit he says but according to Slim it’s her White side doing all of that.

Ladies I’m going to say this, as much as it is annoying and sometimes upsetting when people and TV networks go public about the men lack of Black men and we’re constantly reminded that 42% of us are single, we have to keep the focus on ourselves. Do you hear me…OURSELVES!

Slim Thug does NOT speak for every black man. There are a lot of black men out there that ONLY want a black woman, that love the fact she’s independent, loves the fact that cooking and cleaning are not solely what she’s about, loves her strength and loves her attitude. Remember that!! Also remember there are also men out there of other races who love black women for exactly the same reasons. Stop looking towards black men or any other race of men to validate you. Validate yourself. When you feel good for being you another worthy man will see that and want you for just the way that you are. Some of that also includes being weaveless, possessing a slight attitude, or being slightly louder than our White counterparts. Not all men want docile women, with three feet of weave trailing down their backs, cooking at home with no ambition, balls [not literally] or no damn opinion.

You've probably read my blog or this may be your first time, I’m no-nonsense, don’t take shit, have a mouth on me and can speak for England. That’s only some of who I am, not all of who I am. I’ve only dated Black men and the ones I have, have no problem with any of that part of me at all. I’m still able to be probably all the things Slim Thug hates in a Black woman, namely being independent, doesn’t take his shit and would never dream of doing so. And that’s OK because I don’t want a man that can’t deal with a woman like me and wouldn’t want to. Any man that can deal with a woman who possesses a strong demeanour, character, can see the softer side to her and likes/loves that about her is a strong man himself. Strength is not all about the physical, and you better believe that if you can’t talk to me or deal with me then I can’t respect you. You’re just not strong enough or capable to hang bruh!

You won’t find me generalising ALL Black men and pretty much in a nutshell saying “they ain't shit” either. Only the individuals I will call out. I’m mature enough to know you can’t tar all people with the same brush, it just doesn’t work that way.

The thing that we need to stop doing is getting upset over the things some Black men and others say about us when we wouldn’t even give them a second look in the first place. If you have a man why do you even care? Shouldn’t the way your man thinks and feels about you matter? Shouldn’t the way you feel about you matter? I know that when I wake up in the morning I am not feeling sorry for myself because some jumped up rapper from Houston and other men like him would probably in their lives never date me, because as a Black woman according to him there’s just so much that is wrong, and not enough that is right with me. Well LondonDiva likes LondonDiva and there’s a man out there that likes LondonDiva too. So I’m straight! Fuck Slim Thug!

I had to mention his name only once in a tweet this morning [and really didn’t want to especially on Twitter] and referred to him as a ‘certain rapper.’ Someone asked who I was talking about and had to mention him by name. I didn't want to as just by mentioning his name would contribute to making it a trending topic on Twitter. It puts his name up there when it doesn’t need to be. From Twitter comes more publicity and articles written about him by top bloggers with readers in the thousands. He’s getting free publicity off of you when you’re mad at him and saying he’s not relevant. Well congratulations he became extremely relevant over your rants on Twitter last night. As a result of his ignorance you’ve helped propel a man to some kind of status where people actually now know his name. I wasn’t even going to bother blog about him, but after seeing all the Slim Thug related tweets mentioning his name, writing this blog today isn’t really going to make much of a difference now is it? So thought why the dam hell not.

For white women who think this maybe some kind of compliment, please think again. What men like Slim Thug are saying in why they prefer you over us is because you’re more than happy to cook, clean, be quiet and do what they say. That’s about it. Nothing to get really happy over and anyone with some sense would see the reasons for his preferences are actually insulting towards you too. Another reason could be is that he wants his kids to have lighter skin and that ignorant term ‘good hair.’ Close your mouth and stop looking shocked, yeah I said it. Some Black men have their own colour issues too about being dark skinned or Black period, and ‘don’t want no dark skinned babies with a black woman.’ They’re just not vocal about it like Black women are and have been about ‘colour issues.’ But that's a whole 'nother blog.

What gets me more than anything is this man bitch came from a Black woman and doesn’t think highly of them in anyway at all. What kind of fool-fool woman raised another fool like this? Men and women with sons, raise them with some damn sense please so we can stop this ignorant cycle, and women stop saying “Black men ain't shit” just because a few did you wrong. Ass holes come in ALL races. "It ain’t always right on the white side", there are plenty of hard done by white women that can attest to that. White men are not the prize. Black men are not the prize. A good great man is the prize. Funny how I know a ton of black women [myself included] who from birth who have had nothing to do with their biological father, will still rep for black men, still date black men and still want to marry a black man. Oh but don’t get it twisted now, these same smart women are also open to other men as well, Black men are simply their first, but not ONLY choice. Get some black men raised by black women and according to them “we ain't shit!” The first man to shit on us that shouldn't, are some of our own fathers, and these same black women still want black men. Then you have fools like him talking shit about "we need to be down for a black man" Ain't nothing more loyal than a sista. We do some things for our fellow black man, that they would never dare dream do for us.

Looking at where this was extracted it came from VIBE magazine. Whoever included this in the interview knew exactly what they were doing and the response it would create. Does the magazine have a flagging readership? Is this the only way it could gain a little publicity and notoriety? Why are they using their magazine as a platform for this fool to spout out his ignorance? Then again looking at a magazine [that I stopped reading faithfully years ago] and the recent cover of Nicki Minaj nude but painted it doesn’t seem to be a publication that really holds black women in high regards to cover her ass up!

This fool was born of a Black woman, lives in a country run by a black man married a beautiful educated, strong black women by his side, who has two beautiful daughters and this man…..

Look…marry who you wanna marry, date who you wanna date…just STOP putting us down as reasons for your choices.

On another note...

I started a FB group which I urge you to join called ‘Support Black’, you can read all about it on the info page.

If you had time to tweet or write about Slim Thug on Facebook, then you have time to click TWICE and ‘Support Black’. The SAD state of affairs is it was RT on Twitter 3 or 4 times in 24 hours with about 6 tweets from myself with the link in it. When there is an ignorant trending topic on my timeline about Black people there are hoards of Black people participating in it over and over for most of their damn evening. Get some of those same people to support something positive….NOTHING! Not even a RT! But maybe some of you feel some way with the words ‘support’ and ‘black’ together on your timeline for fear of seeming maybe ‘a little too Black’ or ‘revolutionary’ to the non-Black people who follow you for fear of offending them.

I started this group because I don’t believe Black people support one another and lend a helping hand in trying to get on the ladder and staying there without falling off. If that offends you then:

(a) you aren't a realist, because we don't support each other like we should.
(b) you’re heavily in denial.
(c) you’re probably one of the very people I'm talking about.

Number 1 click HERE
Number 2 click ‘Like’ button

As I was reading other Black Facebook groups I came across this group which is fitting for this topic today it’s about a documentary film called “Happily Ever After” about positive Black marriages.

Now that’s what deserves publicity and to be talked about!

So let Slim thug be a slim thug and continue to love [in his warped way], like and adore the white side of his girlfriend, because the black side isn’t woman enough for him. I am the same person today as I was yesterday, as are you. Men like him have no part in our being, our existence or our survival. He’s not that powerful and never will be.

  1. You said it girl, that SlimThug seems to forget he came from a black woman!!and the woman he's dating is half black - so that side of her better not agree with this BS!!But as you said instead of us getting mad at such foolery we should focus on ourselves and also know that there are black men out there who actually DON'T agree with this fool!!

I watched that You Saved Me Trailer and went see that's positive and they're black folks..now I want to watch more!!

  2. Confession time; I'm not ashamed to say that I don't know who he is, but I don't think that my life would have been enriched by knowing of Slim Thug. I know from his name that I wouldn't have wasted precious time getting informed about someone with 'Thug' in their name. Anyways I missed all the Twitter stuff last night. I don't have the will to comment on his views, because I don't care.

I'm on board with Support Black. Have to admit to not RTing, wanted to add to the message so that non-black followers would FB 'Like' too. Was also aware that I'd RTed BBC-We Demand More and was thinking about the thin line between pride and black power fanatic, I don't flippantly go on about colour, because others fought so hard to make it not an issue, so I chose my causes carefully. Having said that, I love your drive to take action.

  4. Here is my gripe girl and anybody that disagrees can come at me.

The dating experience of single black women is different everywhere. It changes depending on whether you are African, Jamaican, African American etc. It changes because of where you live. A black women dating in Arab countries can tell you a thing or two about why she's single. It depends on the way you were brought up.

Yes there are some issues that are universal and shared amongst black women but just like each black man is different, every black woman is different. The continual war of words between black men and black women needs to stop. The other races who might want to date us already quit before they even get involved.

  5. Well said LD. We should focus on ourselves - end of.

Coming from a multi-cultural family this kind of BS gets boring. We descriminate amongst ourselves too (don't get me started) and it's stupid. KMT that my 13 & 12 year old daughters still have to hear this kind of nonsense.

There are prize idiots in this world regardless of creed and colour. All we need to do is be smart and avoid them. Simples!

  6. Slim Thug had sex with his first cousin and has 1 or 2 children with her. So really this ignorant fool should STFU and sit down. Prof. Marc Lamont from Columbia University had choice words for this fool. It felt good for an educated black man to defend black women. goggle him I didn't want to attach a long link.
